NamiSenseBot ("NSB") for iPhone is published by NamiSense Corporation Limited ("NamiSense", "we"). It is a companion app for the NamiSenseBot desktop app on your own computer, or for an NSB server that you run yourself.
The short version
NamiSense does not collect, receive, store or sell your data through the app. The app talks only to your own computer or server. It has no advertising, no analytics and no crash-reporting service, and it does not track you.
Where your data lives
Your bots, conversations, files and credentials live on your computer (or your own NSB server). The app shows them and sends your messages there. If you use a remote route (Tailscale, or an HTTPS address you configured on your desktop), the traffic goes between your phone and your computer; NamiSense does not operate a server that stores it.
What the app handles
- Messages, attachments, approvals and voice notes you send are transmitted to your paired computer. Voice notes are recorded on the phone and uploaded only to your computer, where your bot may transcribe or translate them.
- Pairing credentials are kept in the iOS Keychain on your phone. Your computer keeps only a hash and you can revoke the phone from the desktop at any time.
- Named secrets (such as API keys) you enter on the phone are encrypted on the phone for your computer. They are not added to the chat and NamiSense cannot read them.
- Preferences and widget data are stored on the phone, in the app and in an App Group shared with the Share extension and widgets.
- Camera: used only to scan the pairing QR code. Images are not stored.
- Microphone and speech recognition: used for dictation and voice notes. Dictation runs on the phone when your language supports it; otherwise iOS may use Apple's speech service under Apple's privacy terms.
- Local network: used to find your computer on your Wi-Fi.
- Notifications, widgets, Live Activities and the Share sheet display or send content between your phone and your computer.
Optional third-party voice (ElevenLabs)
If you choose to add your own ElevenLabs API key in the voice settings, the text of replies to be spoken is sent directly from your phone to ElevenLabs to produce audio, using your key and your ElevenLabs account. NamiSense does not receive this text or your key. ElevenLabs' own privacy policy applies. Do not add a key if you do not want this.
What NamiSense does not do
We do not run analytics or advertising SDKs, build a profile of you, share data with data brokers, or track you across apps and websites.
Your bots and other services
What your bots send to AI model providers or other services is determined by how you configure NamiSenseBot on your computer, not by this app. See the privacy information of the providers you choose.
Children
NSB is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required in your country).
Your choices
You can revoke pairing from the desktop, remove the app (which deletes its local data and Keychain items), and turn off camera, microphone, speech, local-network and notification access in iOS Settings.
Changes
We will update this page, and the "last updated" date, if the app's data handling changes.
